CentroMed's sites are designated National Health Service
Corps and State of Texas
Loan Repayment Program sites,
providing forgiveness or repayment of a portion of the employee's student loans in exchange for a given number
of years of service. CentroMed's service areas are designated as both a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) and
Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).
CentroMed has a variety of opportunities for student interns in social work, public health, health education,
and other areas. A number of Americorps Vista positions
are also available for recent graduates seeking forgiveness of a portion of their student loans in exchange for
a specific number of years of service.
