PUBLIC NOTICE

CentroMed is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), receiving what is recognized nationally as the Gold Seal of Approval in health care.

To maintain accreditation status, CentroMed must periodically undergo thorough on-site surveys to evaluate compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results are used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded the organization.

Joint Commission standards deal with organization quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information about such matters may request a public information interview with the Joint Commission's field representatives at the time of the survey. Information presented at the interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process. Requests for a public information interview must be made in writing and should be sent to the Joint Commission. The request must also indicate the nature of the information to be provided at the interview. Such requests should be addressed to:

The Joint Commission's Office of Quality Monitoring will acknowledge any requests in writing or by telephone. An Account Representative will contact the individual requesting the public information interview prior to survey, indicating the location, date, and time of the interview and the name of the surveyor who will conduct the interview.

El CentroMed es acreditado por La Comisión de Acreditación Para Organizaciónes de Centros de Salúd (JCAHO), recibiendo lo que es reconocido en escala nacional como la Aprobación de Oro en la asistencia médica.

Para mantener el estado de acreditación, CentroMed debe someterse periódicamente a revisiones para evaluar la conformidad de la organización con los estándares nacionales establecidos de la comisión. La revisión será utilizada para determinar si la organización obtendrá estas credenciales y bajo que condiciones.

Los estándares de la comisión tratan con cuestiones de calidad en el cuidado de la salúd y seguridad del ambiente donde se da el cuidado médico. Cualquier persona que crea tener información pertinente y válida sobre esta cuestión puede pedir una entrevista de información pública con un representante de La Comisión al tiempo de la revisión. La información presentada en la entrevista será evaluada cuidadosamente con pertinencia al proceso de credenciales. Para obtener una entrevista de información pública tiene que hacer su petición por escrito y mandarla a La Comisión. Su petición tambien debe indicar el tema de la información que se va tratar durante la entrevista. Mande su petición a:

La Oficina de Control Calidad de La Comisión reconocerá las peticiónes recividas, avisandoles por escrito ó por teléfono. Entonces un representante de la organización, notificara al individuo que requiera la entrevista de información publica antes de la revisión, avisandole del día, hora, y lugar para su entrevista y el nombre de quien conducirá la entrevista.
